RAISE THE ROOF FOR READING
In the fall near the start of school, LNES had a "Raise the Roof for Reading" one evening at the school. Staff read from their favorite books on the top of LNES while students and their families listened below. This was LNES kick-off to the reading challenge to 100 books in 100 days. After the staff was finished, they came down and joined the families who brought their own books to read on the lawn for a great reading time together. This event won a 2015 Excellence in Education Award for LNES.
